Updating Software
After installing SoftNAS, it is a Buurst Best Practice to check and apply any software update that may be available to ensure you are running the latest version.
Buurst recommends a reboot of your SoftNAS be performed prior to a system upgrade. This ensures the system is in a stable state prior to applying the update.
Applying Software Update
Click the Software Update option under the Settings section in the Left Navigation Pane or by selecting "Step 3 - Apply Software Update" from the Getting Started Checklist.
The Software Update Administration panel will be displayed with the Current Version Installed as well as displaying the Latest Version Available for Installation. If there is a later version available, Buurst recommends installing it.
The Confirm message box will emphasize best practices, such as creating a backup or VM Snapshot of the current SoftNAS installation image and confirming the process of updating will be displayed.
Click the Yes button.
The Update Underway message box informing the progress of the update process will be displayed.
Click the OK button.

The Completed message box confirming the successful completion of the update process will be displayed.

Click the Yes button.

It is better to clear the browser cache and reload the application.
