Creating and Managing Pools
Creating and Managing Pools
SoftNAS provides a similar experience across its platforms. This means that a great deal of its functionality, user experience, requirements, and features are common to each platform.
Storage pools are used to aggregate disk storage into a large pool of storage that can be conveniently allocated and shared by volumes.
If selecting storage for replication (SnapReplicate™ and SNAP HA™), it is always best to use the same storage type for pools on both sides of the solution, to avoid read/write bottlenecks due to performance differences.
Here you will find all content relevant to creating and managing pools that is common across all platforms.
