AWS Getting Started - Selecting Your AMI (edition) from the AWS console
- If you are a returning AWS customer more familiar with the AWS console, you can instead sign in to the console directly here.
- Upon login, you will be taken directly to the console, where many options are presented. Recently visited services will show your recently used services, allowing you to find them quickly.
- Select EC2 if it is one of your recently used services.
- If you are a new customer or accessing from a new account, there will be no recently visited services. If this is the case, expand All Services, and select EC2 from under Compute.
- Next time you log in, EC2 will be a recently visited service.
- From the EC2 console, select Launch Instance.
- Select AWS MarketPlace.
- Type SoftNAS in the search bar.
- Select the desired AMI from the listed options.
Upon clicking Select, you will be taken to step 2 of the Launch Instance Wizard, choosing an instance type (size).
