The SoftNAS StorageCenter administration interface provides easy and quick access to various components and modules of the SoftNAS application.

 Storage Administration Pane

The StorageCenter Navigation Pane provides access to the core components and modules of the SoftNAS application. Simply click the required option in the navigation pane to open the related panel in the right section of the screen.

The Dashboard provides a quick summary of the key statistics and performance indicators. For more information, refer to Managing Dashboard.

Getting Started is the Getting Started Checklist that is displayed in the center of the StorageCenter Administrative Interface when it is launched.  This is an easy to use check list to assist new users with a step-by-step process for setting up a new SoftNAS deployment no matter which platform it is deployed on.  Once you are comfortable using the StorageCenter Administrative Interface, you can turn off this feature by toggling the box at the bottom of the pane.

The SnapReplicate/SNAP HA section is where High Availability is addressed.  SnapReplication provides a simple yet powerful means of defining a replication relationship between two SoftNAS controllers - the source node and the target node. While SNAP HA provides the 99.999% storage availability to both applications and users alike. For more information, refer to Managing SnapReplicate and SNAP HA.

Lift and Shift is one of the key features of SoftNAS enabling users to migrate data from one platform to another, whether on-premise to cloud, or between different cloud providers, while maintaining continuous synchronization.  For more information, refer to Lift and Shift File Migration.

The Settings section allows you to configure many general and advanced and performance configurations common to all platforms. It has the modules to configure Schedules, Change Password, Kerberos, Firewall, Licensing, Network Settings, General System Settings, System Services, System Time and Software Updates.
