Authentication Options

This module allows a user to control how passwords are checked in the LDAP database. You can use them to restrict valid users to members of a certain group, or control the encryption format for stored passwords.

Typically, these options can be left unchanged for most systems.

  1. Set filter(s) to help find users, or set to None.

  2. Attribute name to extract the username from, or set to Default (uid).

  3. Set LDAP group DN to force membership to every LDAP user, of set to Ignored.

  4. Set Attribute name of the LDAP group to discover members of that group, or set the Default.

  5. Select your password storage method, or set to Default.
