Create Samba User Account to Access CIFS Shares
Create Samba User Account to Access CIFS Shares
Problem
If a SoftNAS administrator sets SMB encryption to required OR desired, they will have to create Samba User Accounts in order to access their CIFS shares.
Solution
The signing & encryption key is unique for a user and is generated when the user authenticates itself for each connection. If an administrator wishes to use guest accounts, SMB encryption will need to be set to Off.
