Active Directory Connection Fails when SMB / NMB / WINBIND Monitoring is Disabled
Active Directory Connection Fails when SMB / NMB / WINBIND Monitoring is Disabled
In the case that SMB, NMB, and/or Winbind service monitoring are disabled, the user will be unable to join an AD Domain.
To address this, we need to modify a few lines in the /var/www/softnas/scripts/ad_connect.sh
file.
The following highlighted lines should be commented out if that service is disabled from monit. Doing so will allow users to join an AD Domain while having the service(s) disabled.
