SoftNAS Deployment on Azure: Firefox "Next" Button Issue on HA Configuration

Problem:

When deploying SoftNAS instances on Microsoft Azure and using the Firefox web browser, users may encounter an issue where the "Next" button on the "Add High Availability - Instructions" pop-up screen is not clickable. This prevents users from proceeding with the SNAP HA configuration process.

Cause:

This issue appears to be a compatibility issue between the SoftNAS StorageCenter UI and the Firefox web browser on the Azure platform.

Solution:

To work around this issue, users can switch to a different web browser, such as:

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Google Chrome

  • Apple Safari

Using one of these alternative browsers should allow users to click the "Next" button and continue with the SNAP HA configuration process.

Additional Notes:

  • While this workaround is effective, it's recommended to report this issue to SoftNAS support to ensure a permanent solution is implemented in future updates.
